For over thirty years the Master in Landscape Architecture of the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya in Barcelona is a reference point within the international arena, having as its purpose the European standard training for landscape architects, in line with the parameters set by the IFLA. This is a modular program (2250 hours including 750 classroom hours – 90 ECTS) consisting of project workshops and intensive seminars, which has been organized annually since 2008 in Milan by ACMA, Italian Centre of Architecture. It allows you to complete in only eighteen months an exclusive training course alongside teachers who are leading players in the most advanced international design experiences. It is a research and training organization which is growing constantly thanks to the direct “in the field” activities through innovative topics identified together with the authorities and institutions responsible for the control and management of compatible and integrated land development, as required by international protocols on the environment and the European Landscape Convention. Master programmes and postgraduate courses of continuing education by ACMA, with credits awarded by UPC in Barcelona, are assimilated to professional training courses and meet the requirements for obtaining full scholarships provided by foundations, corporations and public institutions (provinces, regions) including the international ones. The Master course is directed by Jordi Bellmunt, who is also the director of the the European landscape Biennial of Barcelona, João Nunes, owner of PROAP an architectural firm specialized in research and projects in landscape architecture in Lisbon, and Antonio Angelillo director of ACMA Italian Centre of Architecture in Milan.
