Barbara Aronson, Jerusalem. She is a senior partner with Shlomo Aronson Architects. Educated at the FH Weihenstephan (BLA ‘87) and Harvard University (MLA ‘91) she worked in Germany before settling in Jerusalem in 1994. She is the design partner in charge of projects including urban master and town planning, the landscape design of parks, urban plazas, and of large infrastructure projects like airports, roads and train lines. She has been teaching at the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem and the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa and lectured and participated in symposiums, workshops and juries in Europe and Israel. In 2011 Shlomo Aronson Architects was awarded the “Global Award for Sustainable Architecture″ as one of five winners nominated by the LOCUS Foundation in Paris.
